  • Most couples book 9-18 months ahead, especially for peak summer dates — popular dates fill fast!

  • A standard 4 or 5 piece setup requires space plus 60 minutes for soundcheck and setup.
    If your day is running behind schedule, we’ll do everything we can to get your schedule back on time for first dance wherever possible. This is especially handy if your photographer is booked until just after first dance!

  • Yes - full professional sound and band lighting is included, ready for a seamless performance.

  • I speak to your venue before your wedding to coordinate about setup times, space and any sound restrictions so everything runs smoothly on the day.

  • Yes - we kindly ask for food and soft drinks for the band during your wedding day. This can be as easy as including the band in your evening food numbers. This ensures we stay energised and ready to give your guests the high energy performance that we’re renowned for.

  • We work differently to most other bands and work our sets around your day.
    We usually play 10 - 15 minutes before the ceremony begins to create a relaxed atmosphere. This is usually followed by a 90 minute set over your drinks reception.
    Our evening band performs 120 minutes split into 2 sets, usually a short set after your first dance and then a longer set later in the evening - keeping your guests dancing all night and having the time of their lives!

  • Yes - you can select from our hand picked song list, plus any song of your choice for first dance.
    We love to learn and play a last dance too!

  • YES! Absolutely. We’ll learn and perform your chosen song - just give us the version you’d love us to play and we’ll get learning.

  • We can provide party playlists for before, in between and after our sets to save you the added cost of a DJ. Alternatively, you can put together your own Spotify playlist and send me the link. I’ll download it and put this through our system.
    We are also very happy to work alongside a DJ too!

  • We cover a wide range of styles from classic dance floor fillers to current chart hits and everything in between! Our guilty pleasure is a 90’s garage mash up!
    We are often reviewing and updating our song list, especially when we hear tunes we know you’ll love to dance to!

  • We are all full time professional musicians and Soulstar is a fully professional, well run band.
    I have a trusted network of musicians that have performed with me and the band many times, so in the rare event of illness or an emergency, we can still deliver a seamless, high quality performance. You won’t even notice the difference — your day runs exactly as planned.

  • No — all our pricing is transparent. Your package includes the evening party band (120 minutes live music, split into 2 sets), travel time and costs, professional PA and lighting and setup.
    Optional extras like sax/ keys, or a daytime Ceremony + Drinks package are clearly listed so you know exactly what you’re paying for. There are no surprise fees — what you see is what you get.
